To wrap up the week, it’s time to feature one of our favorite Facebook friends… so without further ado, Juice Beauties, we’re happy to introduce Mary!

Hi Mary! Tell us a little about yourself. 
I’m an oatmeal-eating, Bikram-sweating, graphic-designing foodie with desire to travel. (Note from us: No kidding, look at the yoga pose in the picture later in this post! Wow.)

What was the first Juice Beauty product that got you hooked?
After several months of trying all sorts of messy home remedies for acne, I came across the Blemish Clearing Cleanser (and the whole Blemish Clearing line). From day one, I could tell it was going to help my skin!

Favorite Juice Beauty product? Why do you love it?
I LOVE the Blemish Clearing Serum. I had used maximum strength Benzoyl Peroxide to fight acne for over 10 years! I only recently really thought about the long-term impact of putting such a harsh chemicals on my skin. I feel good knowing that the Blemish Clearing Serum is organic, and it’s such a relief to use something that clears my skin but doesn’t bleach towels and clothes.

You’re running late in the morning and only have a few minutes before you have to run out the door, what is the ONE skincare/beauty step you can NOT skip?
No matter what, I always cleanse my face in the morning. If I have an extra 30 seconds, I brush on a light layer of Blemish Clearing Powder.

Any beauty secrets you’re willing to share with us?  
Drink water! Hydration has an impact on your entire body and mind. Being well hydrated will come through in clearer, brighter, more vibrant skin.

We’re fiends for fruit (clearly). What’s your pick?
Avocado – I will put it on anything! I usually take half an avocado and mash it on toast with a little sea salt and ground pepper. Otherwise, I’ll just eat it out of its skin with a spoon.

 

We believe looking good doesn’t come without feeling good too.  How do you stay healthy? I am a certified Bikram Yoga teacher and have made practicing Bikram yoga a part of my daily routine. Stretching and sweating for 90 minutes every day keeps me in shape but also re-energizes and clears my mind after a long day.

Favorite organic recipe?
My interest in Juice Beauty actually started after I bought a juicer and began making fresh fruit and vegetable juices! I’ve been making watermelon-mint juice all the time lately, which is refreshing, hydrating, and lightly sweet.
