Microbeads Ban Update

You may have seen the recent news about Colorado and the proposed bill to ban on products containing microbeads, plastic particles commonly used in conventional beauty and personal care products.

Illinois and New Jersey have already passed a ban while other states are still considering.

We couldn’t be more pleased and hopeful. These pesky plastic particles continue to threaten our health and the health of the planet, polluting our water streams and water treatment centers, and going to so far as to contribute to ‘plastic soup.’ Yuck!

We encourage you to contact your local state legislators and ask that they support the ban on products containing these harmful plastics.  What else? Try avoiding products containing microbeads. You might be surprised by how many there are!
